I wonder what to write so it would be not too much not too less, just understandable and in accordance with my heart.
They scare me all these appeals depriving the dignity of people with disabilities. What do you feel seeing this? I do not want to strip my intimacy. I do not want to show you how my husband helps me in almost everything everyday. I want to safe my pride. Will you let me do this? Can you help me anyway? Thank to you donation I can buy what will allow me to live „normally”, continue to work, continue to function in and for society?
Who am I to ask you, how dare I if there are so many people in need?
A woman who since childhood is suffering from spinal muscular atrophy and for 17 years has been working to afford things that were and are needed. Now my social worker salary is not enough to replace old, still repaired equipment.
Why do I need your money?
I like being specific, I will not beat around the bush. I need:
1. Electric wheelchair, which will be good enough to overcome the barriers we face on the streets in Poland. The wheelchair, which will not break in the middle of the crossroad at is has happened already.
2. The active wheelchair which would let move to move around the house. Thanks to riding on a flat surface I’ll train some muscles.
3. Specialized rehabilitation – partially financed by the National Health Fund (up to 80 hours per year), and partially by myself, but intense exercise is my only way to fight with the disease and not to let my muscles to disappear completely.
4. Electric training bicycle training for hands and feet, which will help my muscles and allow me to keep the mobility of joints.
